Bike tour from the city of Valencia to the Devesa de el Saler and the Albufera lake where we will take a boat ride.  

The tour is led by a professional guide who will ask us our preferences at the beginning, to make the tour as adjusted as possible to the characteristics of the group or the weather conditions of the day.

The tour aims to show, in a relaxed way, the way of life of the Huerta de Valencia and the scenario of a constant struggle between the fishermen of the Albufera and the farmers who, little by little, were gaining ground from the lake, conquering inch by inch, with an undeniable and patient effort, a little land to grow rice. Just to point out, the lake occupied about ten times its current extension in Roman times. A time when the current Ruzafa district in the city of Valencia had a port on the shores of the lake. 

On the way to our destination we will see the landscape of the Huerta Sur of Valencia, with its characteristic orchards where extraordinary vegetables are grown, appreciated by the most demanding chefs in the world and that we can find in the Mercat Central every day, freshly picked, with that flavour that so impresses the unaccustomed.

We will soon arrive at the Devesa del Saler, now a Natural Park, which combines a unique ecosystem with an extraordinary pine grove between the Mediterranean Sea and the Albufera Lake. In the Saler we will be able to see the beach, with its characteristic dunes, the Parador Nacional and its extraordinary golf course, of world-wide fame and, very easily by bicycle, some families of ducks with their small offspring.

From there we will approach to see the lake's regulating gates, known as "golas" from where we will contemplate the lake in all its splendour and ride in a typical boat that will take us on a tour of the lake and its corners. In this boat ride we will have many opportunities to see many types of water birds, some migratory and others resident in this magnificent Natural Park.

An unforgettable experience that is even more so by bicycle, appreciating every detail.

This tour can be an excellent starting point for subsequent private visits on an individual basis, such as going to eat at the Palmar (not included), but perhaps the most interesting thing is to hire an extension of the tour and continue the visit on an individual basis (without a guide) for as long as you like.

You can complete this tour with a bike rental extension for the rest of the day for only 5 EUROS.

To do this, you must notify us when you pick up your bicycle in our shop and make the corresponding contract and deposit.
